Flowers for Every Occasion

When I was younger I thought it was so fascinating that people assigned meanings to different flowers to communicate messages to loved ones. To this day, before choosing flowers from my local grocery store, I search online to find out what the flowers I'm purchasing mean. I often wonder if anyone else chooses flowers in such a particular way for an everyday bouquet.

For weddings and other intimate ceremonies, flowers are the literal centerpieces of the party. Once the party is over, however, proper flower disposal can take many forms. As a business owner and everyday person, I love the idea of extending the joy that flowers bring far past the ceremony they played a role in.

I have heard of people that bring leftover flowers to nursing homes but I've not yet had the pleasure of making that exchange myself. Even more, once the flowers begin to wilt, I see a need for floral preservation so that even in their dried state, the flowers can still bring beauty to the room.

Besides live flowers being a refreshing addition to any space, I still maintain that fake flowers can be just as beautiful as live flowers. I am also a big fan of handmade crafty flowers that may be made of paper or fabric to add a pop of color to any event. I still try to match meaning when choosing fake flowers but I feel like the lack of fragility in the fake flowers makes for even more spectacular displays since the fake flowers can be more durable and withstand time.

Whatever kind of florals you choose, flowers are a great way to communicate emotion and bring joy to all that encounter them. I love the thought of arranging flowers and I think it is a fun hobby to pick up. Gorgeous arrangements add so much to an event so I think it's wise to spend a little extra time thinking about what kind of message you want to send through flowers when selecting them for special events!
